Knowing I am using my skills to make a difference. I have worked briefly in the private sector but I couldn’t get excited about working hard, long hours to make shareholders richer.

I really love the opportunity to take time with patients, and to make a really stressful situation easier for them. I have a rubbish sense of humour and always try and make a patient laugh, or make them a cup of tea, or whatever it takes to make them feel better than when we arrived in the ambulance

Talking and getting to know students and I really love talking to patients and listening to their stories. Your grans and granddads have fantastic stories of when they was young with no mobile phones or computers.
