      Getting to work with a host of different people and solve interesting problems with them.

      Knowing I am helping. My skills might not be clinical, but I know that if I get my job right I am helping patients and the public, not just making shareholders richer. That makes it a lot easier to keep going if things get sticky.

      Working with different people and feeling like I am making a difference. I might agree to fund a nurse to do a specialist course in diabetes knowing that will help them provide better care to their patients.
